Hot Tub Removal, Done Right.
Drain, disassemble, haul away — all in one trip. Deck and concrete pad removal optional. Flat rate, no surprises.
Short Answer
Hot Tub Removal from Servant King is flat rate, quoted before the crew touches anything — $249 minimum and $1,899 for a full truckload on the Bay Area rate card, $129 and $749 on the Sacramento & Placer card. That price covers labor, loading, disposal and tipping fees, donation sorting, and cleanup; there are no stair, long-carry, fuel, or weekend surcharges. Drain, disassemble, haul away — all in one trip. Deck and concrete pad removal optional. Flat rate, no surprises.
Hot tubs are one of the most common — and most painful-to-DIY — removal jobs. They're heavy (300-500 lbs empty), awkward to maneuver, and hard to dispose of legally. Servant King handles the entire job: drain, disassemble or remove whole, haul away, and dispose of properly. Optional add-ons: deck removal, concrete pad demo, and electrical disconnect coordination.

How to Book Hot Tub Removal
Text a photo to (209) 938-7407
Stand back far enough to get the whole load in frame and include something for scale. Most photo quotes come back within minutes during business hours.
Tell us how it gets out
Stairs, long carries, gated access, HOA rules, and parking restrictions all change the labor. Mentioning them up front is the single best way to keep the quote from moving on the day.
Get the flat rate in writing
The quoted price is binding. If the job runs longer than estimated, the price does not change — no hourly billing, no end-of-job adjustment.
Book same-day or next-day
Same-day when a slot is open, next-day at the latest, Saturdays included. Pay afterward by card link, check, or cash; commercial accounts can be invoiced net-15 or net-30.

What's included
Draining the tub (usually into the landscape, but we can run a hose to the street if requested), disassembly if needed to fit through gates or doors, loading onto the truck, and proper disposal at our processing facility. Electrical disconnect is your responsibility or your electrician's — we don't touch live wiring.
Deck and pad removal
Many hot tub removals come with a deck that also needs to go, or a concrete pad that looks ugly once the tub is gone. We're licensed for the demo (CSLB C-21 #1142322) and can quote that as an add-on or separate job.
Where it goes
Fiberglass shells are recycled through specialized streams when accepted. Metal frames and plumbing are sorted for scrap. Landfill is the last resort.
FAQs
Common Questions About Hot Tub Removal
How heavy is a hot tub?
Typically 300-500 lbs empty, 3,000+ lbs full. We drain first, then handle the empty shell with appropriate equipment.
Can you get it out through a narrow side gate?
Usually yes, as long as the gate is at least 30" wide. For tighter situations we can disassemble the shell on-site.
Do I need to disconnect the electrical?
Yes, that's done by a licensed electrician before we arrive. We can refer you to one in the area if needed.
